Google developed its benchmark model with the Google Pixel, and Xiaomi has the third-highest share of the global smartphone market. Google Pixel 10 Pro

Google Pixel 10 Pro is one of the newest models by the tech giant, having launched in August 2025. This smartphone has dimensions of 152.8 x 72 x 8.5 mm (6.02 x 2.83 x 0.33 in) and a weight of 207 g (7.30 oz). It is the smartphone most similar to the Samsung models, because it runs on an Android 16 OS. It also boasts an impressive Octa-core CPU and 16 GB RAM.

One of the features that truly impressed us was the memory options with models from 128 GB to 1 TB. It has three main cameras, with 50, 48, and 48 MP respectively, as well as a 42 MP selfie camera. It does shoot video in 8K resolution with the main camera and 4K with the selfie camera, but it has no memory card slot. Like most modern smartphones, it also lacks a 3.5mm jack, but the positive features outweigh the negative ones. We especially liked its price, starting from $521.

Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 5 Max

Xiami Redmi Turbo 5 Max is the newest phone on our list, having launched in January of 2026. This phone is on the larger side, with 163 x 77.9 x 8.2 mm (6.42 x 3.07 x 0.32 in) dimensions. It also weighs 219 g (7.72 oz) thanks to its glass front and aluminium frame. But, its build is also what makes it one of the most sturdy smartphones we’ve had the pleasure of testing.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max runs on Android 16 or HyperOS 3 operating systems, with an Octa-core CPU. It boasts up to 16 GB RAM, and up to 1 TB GB in built-in memory, with no card slot. This model may seem less capable than the others, but it comes at nearly half of the price. The most basic version with 128 GB memory costs $360, while the 1 TB version costs $489. That is why we consider it one of the best alternatives to Samsung and iPhone.

Oppo Reno15 FS

Oppo is still relatively new on the tech market compared to most of the brands in this article. Even so, the Chinese manufacturer has started to make waves with several of its models, especially the Reno15 FS. This January 2026 Oppo release is small and compact with dimensions of 158.2 x 74.9 x 8.2 mm (6.23 x 2.95 x 0.32 in). Its weight of 196g comes from its front and back glass design, which makes the phone dazzle.
